Fairfax Symphony’s Presents Chamber Works by Mozart, Varese, Britten and Shostakovich
The
Fairfax Symphony returns to George Mason University’s Harris Theatre in Fairfax
to continue the celebration of Benjamin Britten’s works. Tenor William Hite will again join the FSO to
perform Britten’s Nocturne. The program
includes the brilliantly delicate Mozart Symphony No. 27, and Varese’s rhythmic
Octandre.
One of Shostakovich’s rarely performed symphonies will round out the
program.
