Community Corner

Selichot 5773

Congregation Adat Reyim and Beth El Hebrew Congregation will unite as we prepare for the deeply important High Holidays ahead. Please bring family and friends and join us for a multi-faceted evening of meaningful prayer, beautiful music, delicious desserts and insightful conversation.

World-class musicians Flory Jagoda -- a 2002 National Heritage Fellowship recipient and the subject of a Celebration Concert at the Library of Congress this coming September -- and Susan Gaeta will present a truly unique program based on Flory Jagoda's experiences as a young woman with roots in Sarajevo, Bosnia.  Together, Flory and Susan will transport us to a different time and place, sharing memories, traditions, language, and beautiful Sephardic music along the way.

The evening will also include a learning experience led by Rabbis Bruce Aft and Brett Isserow, the spirited music of Adat Reyim's Folk Group, Havdalah, a luscious dessert spread, and a Selichot worship service.

For more information, please contact the office at office@adatreyim.org or (703) 569-7577.
