Blood Drive

On April 8, 2011, five firefighters from the District of Columbia Fire Department were injured and burned while battling a house fire. Soon thereafter, the District of Columbia Fire Fighters Association, - IAFF Local 36 put out a notice that the Blood Services Center at Washington Hospital Center needed blood donors to help the injured brothers. The response was awesome, but now the Blood Services Center needs to replenish their stock. This is the very same blood bank that any firefighter in the DC area would be using if they were burned and transported to the Burn Center at MedSTAR.
