Nominations Accepted for Citizen of the Year Award

The annual award is given to someone who performs community service

 

Nominations are now being accepted for the Fairfax County Citizen of the Year award.

The award is sponsored by the Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations and the Fairfax County based Science Applications International Corporation.

Winners show exemplary efforts in “enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Fairfax County,” according to a press release from the organization.

The organization’s website reports that last year’s winner was Clark Tyler, who was nominated for his leadership as chair of the Tysons Land Use Task Force from 2006 to 2010.
