Virginia State Police say man lost control of his car Monday night on I-66 ramp onto Fairfax County Parkway.

A Burke man driving a 2007 Corvette hit a state trooper car Monday night at about 6:12 p.m. while driving onto southbound Fairfax County Parkway from an Interstate 66 ramp, according to the Virginia State Police.

The man, who was not identified by police, apparently lost control of his car, spun and around and "T-boned" the state trooper's car on the driver's side, according to police.

The state trooper was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital with minor injuries. The Burke resident was not injured, police said.
