Copycat Groper in West Springfield?

Fairfax County Police say groping incident may be the work of a copycat.

A groping incident that occurred around 5:45 p.m. Thursday may be the work of a copycat, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

According to FCPD, a 30-year-old woman was jogging in the 3300 block of Briarwood Court when a man grabbed her, reported WUSA. She screamed and the man ran away. The suspect is described as either a white or Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 30 years old and about 5'7".

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a green jacket, dark pants and dark shoes. Police believe the West Springfield incident may not be related (because of the location) to 14 recent groping incidents reported in Springfield in the past few months.
