Fairfax Station Home Destroyed in Fire

The fire was reported on Sunday

A Fairfax Station home was destroyed in a fire early Sunday.Β 

Firefighters responded to a fire at the 2-story home at 10410 Dominion Valley Drive at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. No one was home at the time.

The home was consumed in flames when firefighters arrived. It took firefighters over an hour to bring the fire under control, the fire department reported.

Three residents were displaced as a result of the fire. The home is a β€œtotal loss,” fire officials said.

A family member was transported to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for a non-life threatening injury. One firefighter was transported to the Washington Hospital Burn Center for a non-life threatening injury.

Fire officials do not yet know the cause of the fire. The incident is under investigation.
