Fairfax Station-Area Crime: Stolen Jewelry, Forged Decals, Pregnant Cow on the Loose

The cow was not injured.

The following crime events are courtesy of the Fairfax County Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Crime events 

Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 8300 block of Tabor Lane in Fairfax Station. 

Money was stolen from a vehicle in the 8900 block of Village Shops Dr. 

Arrests 

A 45-year-old Clifton woman living in the 13600 block of Wildflower Ln. was arrested for owning forged decals on July 11, 2013. 

Odd

Fairfax County animal control officers apprehended a pregnant and unruly cow near Union Mill Rd. in Centreville on Sat. July 13. The cow, which had escaped three days before from a farm on Winfield Rd. in Fairfax, was first reportedly seen running near a shopping center. Police said it was aggressive, pregnant, and officers were warned it may attack if cornered.

A veterinarian assisting animal control was injured and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Scottish Highland cow - orange and brown horned - was eventually tracked down ataround 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. The cow was not injured.
