Fatal Car Crash at Henderson Road and Route 123

Manassas woman was making left turn onto Henderson Road

On Wednesday night, a fatal car accident took place at the intersection of Ox Road and Henderson Road, according to a press release from Fairfax County police. At approximately 9:10 p.m., a 27-year-old man was driving his 2000 Chevrolet southbound on Ox Road.

At the same time, Sharon Parrish, 57, was driving northbound on Ox Road in a 2000 BMW. When she tried to make a left turn onto Henderson Road, the Chevrolet struck her car. A resident of Blooms Road in Manassas, Sharon Parish was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The other driver was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Investigation of the accident has been managed by the Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives. Police officials believe that speed, rather than alcohol, was a factor in the accident.
