FCPD: Missing Boy Sighting in Alabama

Police have issued a felony warrant for Rebecca Serafin, who allegedly fled the state with her son.

Fairfax County Police said they have confirmed a sighting of Rebecca and Cameron Serafin at an airport in Birmingham, Ala., on Friday.

Police have been looking for the Fairfax County mother and her five-year-old son since last week, when Rebecca Serafin did not return the boy to his father's home as scheduled.

As a result of that confirmed sighting, a felony warrant was obtained charging Rebecca Serafin with felony parental abduction, according to a police press release.

Police last week issued an arrest warrant for Renecca Serefin, 32, on charges of custodial interference, a misdemeanor, police said.

Police said last week believe that Serafin has changed her and her son’s appearance to avoid being located by authorities. Her car and other belongings have been found, adding to the police department’s theory that she is trying to remain undetected, according to a police news release.

Serafin could be using the alias Rebecca Love, and Cameron might be as well, police say.
