Man Indicted in Crash That Killed Local Girl

Carlos Eugene Lucas charged with two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter.

Carlos Eugene Lucas, 22, is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center in Manassas.

On Tuesday, Lucas was charged with two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter and one count of maiming while driving, according to Prince William County court records.

A grand jury recently has indicted Lucas, the Gainesville man who allegedly caused the crash that resulted in the death of 20-year-old  originally of Centreville, and David Richardson, 50, of Warrenton.

Prince William County Police said that Lucas was speeding and driving under the influence in the Nov. 19 crash.

The count of maiming while driving is in regard to Jandrositz's boyfriend, who survived, but was injured in the crash.
