Pedestrian Struck on I-66 near Fairfax County Parkway

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries.

A pedestrian was struck on I-66 just west of the Fairfax County Parkway Tuesday morning.Β 

The incident happened at 7 a.m., according to the Virginia State Police. The pedestrian was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

All lanes were reopened to traffic as of 10 a.m., authorities said.
