Police Called to Clifton Party; Two Charged

Two were charged after a Clifton party got out of control, according to police.

A large party at a Clifton home was broken up by police and two people were charged, authorities said. 

The party took place on the 12000 block of Yates Ford Road the night of Feb. 25. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, police were called after someone reported hearing a large party at the house.

Melanie Smith, 49, was charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A party guest, Mark Hughes, 55, of Fairfax Station, was charged with being drunk in public, possession of alcohol, and obstruction of justice.
