Police Hold Sobriety Checkpoint; One DWI Arrest Made

The sobriety checkpoint took place on April 15

One person was charged with driving while intoxicated during a sobriety checkpoint officers held deter drunken driving.

The sobriety checkpoint took place from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on April 15 on Route 28 near the intersection of Lee Highway in the Sully Police District.

About 723 motorists passed through the checkpoint, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

In addition to the DWI arrest, five summonses were issued for traffic offenses, and one person was charged with possession of a concealed weapon.
