Police Look for More Victims of iPhone Bandit

Were you a victim of this Craigslist scam?

Police said this week there may be other victims swindled out of their iPhones by a man they arrested last month.

Here's how the crimes occurred: On Friday, Jan. 21, around 7 p.m., a 23-year-old Annandale-area woman had her iPhone taken in the 4700 block of Nathan Hale Drive. The victim reported to police that a man responded to her ad on Craig’s List to sell her phone. The victim told police the man said he needed to show the phone to another person before making the purchase. The man then walked into a nearby building and never returned.

Police were able to connect the same suspect to three other cases on Jan. 5, Jan. 16, and Jan. 22, all involving iPhones.
