Police: Woman Assaulted Near Huntington Metro

Police are still looking for a suspect in Sunday incident.

Fairfax County Police responded to a report of a woman who was reportedly assaulted Sunday night near the Huntington Metro station.

Police responded around 10:46 p.m. to a call from a woman who said she was walking near the Huntington Metro station near Biscayne Drive. She was near that intersection opposite of the Huntington Metro station when she said someone allegedly ran up behind her and assaulted her, according to police spokesperson Lucy Caldwell.  The woman yelled and the suspect fled.

Police responded and put out a lookout for a man between the ages of 24 and 30 and around 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9.

Caldwell said police "don’t have any evidence" at this time that it is linked to the "grab and grope" Springfield incidents.
