By the Numbers: Allen, Perkins Win in Fairfax Station

Patch has precinct results for Fairfax Station and Clifton.

About 73 percent of voters in Fairfax Station and Clifton precincts gave their support to former Virginia Gov. and U.S. Senate candidate George Allen during Tuesday's Republican primary.

Chris Perkins, candidate for the 11th congressional district, also won 68 percent of the Fairview precinct.

The win came despite a low voter turnout in Fairfax County and across Virginia: fewer than 5.1 percent of active voters statewide cast ballots on Tuesday. In Fairfax County, the average was about 5.4 percent.
