Clifton, Fairfax Station Property Values Go Up

Fairfax County mailed out property assessments last week. How did you do?

Fairfax Station and Clifton property values rose slightly, according to recently-released assessments by Fairfax County. The Fairfax County Department of Tax Administration started mailing 352,234 real estate assessment notices to county taxpayers last week, and every community in the county saw an increase in residential property values.

Herndon, Lorton and Great Falls saw the greatest increase in residential property values in Fairfax County. 

"Of the 352,234 taxable parcels in the county, 276,121 had some value change," according to Fairfax County

"Lorton is one of the fastest growing parts of Fairfax County," said Mount Vernon District Supervisor Gerry Hyland at a ribbon cutting last week. "Residential growth has been absolutely incredible. This is a community that has blossomed. It has almost everything."
