Congressman Visits Clifton Town Meeting

Frank Wolf, R-10th District, visited with future constituents at Clifton's meeting Tuesday evening.

Republican Congressman Frank Wolf stopped by Clifton’s Town Council meeting Tuesday evening to say hello to some of his future constituents.

“I wanted to come by and introduce myself,” Wolf said.

Wolf currently serves Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, which now spans from McLean to Winchester. As a result of redistricting, the 10th District will officially include the town of Clifton starting in January 2013.

Clifton is currently part of the 11th Congressional District, represented by Democrat Gerry Connolly.

Wolf is up for re-election this year. He has represented the 10th District since 1981. In his meeting with residents, Wolf gave out his contact information for residents and briefly summarized his membership in several congressional committees. To read more about Wolf, visit his website.

The town council welcomed him.

“We have a lot of events going on here and we would invite you to come by and get a vibe for the community,” said Mayor William Hollaway. “We appreciate you coming by.”

  • Committees: The Clifton Dinner Theatre representatives reported that 88 tickets were sold each night of the performance, earning $8,800 in ticket sales.
