Democratic Primary Absentee Voting Opens Friday

There will be a Democratic primary for lieutenant governor and attorney general June 11. Absentee voting for Fairfax County residents begins April 26.

It's getting to be that time again—time to cast your ballot. On June 11, there will be a Democratic primary for lieutenant governor and attorney general.

Absentee voting for the primary begins Friday. There are several qualifying circumstances to vote absentee. This information has been provided by Fairfax County.

Registered voters who will be away from Fairfax County on Election Day, or, who are unable to go to the polls because of illness or disability, may vote by absentee ballot. See this webpage for details: Am I Eligible to Vote Absentee?

To vote absentee, you may use the Fairfax County fillable online absentee ballot application form to enter your information on the screen, print, sign, return your ballot in person or by mail.

Or, you may print a blank absentee ballot application form to enter your information by hand, sign and return. 

There are no satellite absentee voting locations for these primary elections. You may vote in-person absentee only at: 

Fairfax County Government Center
12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 323
Fairfax, VA 22035

Hours: 
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturdays (June 1 and June 8 only): 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The last day to vote in-person is June 8.

Note: The office will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27.

Absentee Voting By Mail

Last Date to Apply for an Absentee Ballot By Mail: 
June 4th, 5 p.m.

For inclusion in the elections, absentee ballots must be returned to the office by:
7 p.m. on June 11, 2013

Your absentee ballot may be mailed to: Office of Elections, Box 10161, Fairfax, VA 22038.
