Essay Contest Now Open to High Schoolers

Students can submit an essay in honor of Women's History Month

A local organization devoted to assisting needy children is holding an essay contest in honor of Women’s History Month.

High school seniors from any public high school in Fairfax County can submit an essay on the woman – past or present, public or private – who has served as the greatest inspiration in their lives.

Cash awards will be granted to the top essayists ($1000 First Place; $500 Second Place; 9 $100 Honorable Mentions). Essays will be collected from November 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
