Fairfax Station Resident Announces Run for School Board Seat

Lolita Mancheno-Smoak will be vying for an at-large seat

Fairfax Station resident Lolita Mancheno-Smoak has announced her intent for running for the Fairfax County School Board’s at-large seat. 

Mancheno-Smoak is currently serves as an adjunct professor at Strayer University and the University of Phoenix teaching business courses.

She said that issues involving the school board's budget and the lawsuit alleging Freedom of Information Act violations by the board over the closure of Clifton Elementary School, among other issues, prompted her to run for office.
