South County Secondary School senior Julia Kastner, a Fairfax Station native, was successfully recruited to play outfield at Temple University by Owls coach Joe DiPietro, and she signed her letter of intent to play for the Philadelphia school recently at a ceremony at SCSS.
In addition to scholastic softball, Kastner plays on the Vienna Stars travel team. She also plays basketball for SCSS.
