NOVEC Offers Scholarships for High School Students

Several scholarships are available.

High school students can now apply for several scholarships sponsored by the Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative.

Fairfax County students are eligible for the $1,5000 NOVEC Dollars for Scholars scholarships.

From those winners, the selection committees will select the overall outstanding student for an additional $1,500 J. Manley Garber Scholarship.

The selection committee will look for students who have demonstrated scholastic achievement, community service, work experience, and leadership skills.

Applications must be submitted by March 23.

Scholarships are also available from the Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives Educational Scholarship Foundation.Β 

The foundation will award $500 and $1,000 scholarships to students who have been selected based on financial need, academic achievement, and a personal statement.
