Robinson Raising Funds for 'Choir Games'

Robinson students will participate in the World Choir Games.

Robinson Secondary School’s choral students are hoping to attend the 2012 World Choir Games, and they need the community’s support.

Two choral ensembles are hoping to perform at the competition, which takes place from July 4 through 8, according to Robinson Choir’s website. The competition begins with a parade of nations. Robinson is one of two groups that would represent Virginia in the competition.

The choir group is trying to raise $50,000 for the sixty-three students who will attend the trip to Ohio.

“The students in the choirs very much would like to experience this once in a lifetime event,” writes Michael Horanski, director of high school choral activities at the school.
