Robinson Sports: Rams Head to the Playoffs
Football set to play Westfield in playoffs this Friday
Robinson Football (4-8, 2-3 Concorde District):
The Rams needed to defeat Chantilly last Friday to secure a spot in the Northern Region playoffs. They didn’t disappoint. Robinson grabbed a 20-3 road win over Chantilly, sending the team and first-year head coach Trey Taylor to the postseason where they’ll travel to Westfield on Friday, November 11.
The Ram defense didn’t allow Chantilly to score until the game’s third quarter and limited the Charger offense to just five first downs. On offense, Joe Meier led the Rams in rushing as he ran for 182 yards on 29 carries and two touchdowns. Quarterback Patrick Baker also scored on a 1-yard run.
