Freshman football grabs first win of season, defeats Oakton 26-7

Robinson Football (3-6, 1-3 Concorde District):

(8-1) defeated 42-8 last Friday. The loss came on homecoming night for the Rams, which was also the team’s last home game of the season. Tyrek Worrell scored the lone touchdown in the contest, which came in the second quarter on a 10-yard run. Quarterback Patrick Baker successfully completed the two-point conversion.

Despite Robinson’s three district losses, the team can clinch a postseason spot with a victory this Friday at Chantilly (6-3). Chantilly is 1-4 in their last five games. Trey Taylor’s first season as head coach was tumultuous to say the least, but he can do a lot to silence his detractors with a playoff-clinching Chantilly win.
