Robinson Student Chosen as Youth Correspondent

A Robinson Student will represent Virginia in the July journalism conference.

A Robinson Secondary School student was selected as a National Youth Correspondent for an upcoming conference at George Mason University.

Robert Marchibroda, of Fairfax Station, will represent Virginia at the 2012 Washington Journalism and Media conference. He was selected among 250 students across the country to participate in a week-long study of the media, according to a press release from the conference organizers.

Last year's conference included speakers Hoda Kotb, Chuck Todd, Ann Kornblut, and Jessica Yellin. The purpose of the conference is to encourage aspiring journalists.

The Washington Journalism and Media Conference will be hosted from July 8 through July 13, 2012. For more information visit the conference website at wjmc.gmu.edu.
