Robinson Students Win Tech Awards

The students won first place in their category.

students recently won first place at a statewide Technology Student Association State Leadership Conference.

Andy Artze, Exxus Altimus, and Michael Sherburne won first place in their category, system control technology. The TSA conference judges middle school and high school students on innovation, design, and engineering.

The category asks students to develop a computer-controlled model-solution to a problem. Teams analyze the problem, build a computer-controlled mechanical model, program the model, explain the program and mechanical features of the model-solution, according to the national TSA website.

At the middle school level, Fairfax County Public School students won 10 first-place awards. High school students won nine first-place awards.

The conference took place over three days in Richmond. Winners will move on to the national conference at the end of June.
