The group held a fundraiser over the weekend for "Project Opportunity."

A Fairfax Station group held a fundraiser over the weekend to support a program for pregnant or parenting young women at Bryant Alternative High School.

“All of us felt that this was a great project,” said Andrea Ryhanych, who is involved with the Women of Heart of Fairfax Station. “Funding through Fairfax County is really tight this year and we thought we could help.”

The Women of Heart of Fairfax Station is a volunteer organization founded last year which works to give back to the community. A friend of the group told the Women of Heart about ’s “project opportunity” program. The organization was so impressed with the program that the Women of Heart took it under their wing, Ryhanych said.
