CDC Competition Team Performance - GMU Men's Basketball vs. James Madison

By special invitation, 88 dancers from the Creative Dance Center Award Winning Competition Team will perform their hot showstopper, “Celebration”, for an expected crowd of 10,000 fans at the Patriot Center for George Mason University vs. James Madison Men's Basketball Halftime Show at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, January 28th, 2012!

Choreographed by Chantilly’s talented Staci Frye and Jamie Frye, “Celebration” features 88 area dancers, aged 5 to 18 years, from Fairfax, Dulles, Ashburn, Leesburg, Brambleton, Chantilly, South Riding, Sterling, and Centerville among others. Either in person or on via live television, you too can view this 4 minute dance presentation that is the crowning jewel and singular highlight of the CDC*CT competitive repertoire.

Housed in Chantilly’s own Creative Dance Center Studios, the CDC*CT competes approximately 220 dances annually both on national and regional levels in jazz, lyrical, tap, modern, contemporary, musical theater and open categories. Their efforts in the 2011 season earned the esteemed title of the Highest Scoring Studio Team at the 2011 Star Systems National Competition in Myrtle Beach.

Creative Dance Center's mission is to provide opportunities for dancers of all ages and levels to discover the joys of dance and performance. By providing a quality program in a professional yet welcoming setting, children grow to their potential. Creative Dance for Children, started by Ramona Batchelder in 1983, developed into a nationwide dance movement program offered in child care centers in various regions. Ramona opened the first Creative Dance Center studio in 1986 in Chantilly as a home office for the outreach program.
