Horse Friends of Fairfax Station & Clifton

Do you like horses?  Do you enjoy visiting with other riders?

Then join a group of equestrians for coffee and conversation at the Cafe on Clifton's Main Street.

We meet the first Monday of each month at 10am. (The date was changed this month because of the 4th of July holiday.) Joan Onders, a resident of Fairfax Station, started these informal get-togethers about three years ago.  Every month, she emails the network of riders to remind them of the coffee.

The riders straggle in after completing their barn chores. After placing their orders with Erin, the best barista in Fairfax County, they collapse on the comfy chairs.

"Isn't it wonderful," they think, "to talk to horse friends somewhere beside a barn?"

The conversations touch on a variety of topics. Some, of course, focus on horses: training, different disciplines, horseshoes, medical problems, and so on. The discussions always touch on other topics, too. The restaurants in Clifton, movies, books, trips, children and dogs all receive attention.
