Humane Society of Fairfax County’s Woof Walk

The Humane Society of Fairfax County’s Woof Walk will be Sunday, May 22 from 8am-1pm (rain or shine) at the Burke Lake Park Amphitheater. The family-friendly event will include a 3-mile walk, silent auction, dog contest, food and vendor booths, and appearances by Congressman Gerry Connolly, the Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue team and an expert dog trainer. There will also be a parade of adoptable canines. Admission is $20 if pre-registered or $25 at the event with $5 for each additional group member. Each walker will get a free T-shirt and their dog will get a bandana. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Fairfax County, a non-profit organization that rescues and protects both domestic and wild animals. For more information, www.hsfc.org.
