The Backwoods Rollers take on the Beltway Betties this Saturday in the latest NOVA roller derby bout.
Both NOVA roller derby teams draw participants from all over Fairfax County. Saturday’s competition will take place at the Dulles SportsPlex at 21610 Atlantic Boulevard in Sterling. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the match starts at 5:30 p.m..
The team is working with Fairfax Station-based Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) this month. The team is asking spectators to bring dog food, canned or bagged, to help support the no-kill animal rescue group.
Advance tickets can be purchased for $10 at www.fanfueled.com/events; tickets will also be sold at the door for $12. Children under six will be admitted free.
