’s crew teams won the state championships this weekend at in Fairfax Station.
The men’s junior four crew team and the women’s junior four crew team both won gold medals in their categories.

A total of 46 schools competed in the Virginia State Championship Regatta.
Rowing for the men's team were Jay Talihani, Ted Coffman, Will Bachman, C.J. Coffey, and Parker Dumas. The women's was made up of Emily Tourtellot, Emily Hayes, Stephanie Hendricks, Scout Vitas-Dega, and Laura Bolt.
In addition to the first place wins, the team also had fourth, fifth, sixth, and eighth place finishes.
Both teams will head to the Scholastic Rowing Association of America Nationals Regatta in New Jersey over Memorial Day weekend.
