AAA: Road Debris Causes Thousands of Crashes

AAA Mid-Atlantic is advising that road debris is the cause of 25,000 crashes and 100 deaths across the country.  

“Although crash risk due to road debris is low and these crashes are generally less severe than others, individual incidents can be disastrous,”  stated Martha Mitchell Meade, manager of public and government affairs for AAA Mid-Atlanti  in a release.  

“Road debris is often thought of as an annoyance, one that we’ve all had to deal with when driving,” said Meade. “But the reality is that unaware drivers have thousands of crashes every year that could have been avoided.”
