Fairview Fire Station Gets Makeover Courtesy of Local Boy Scout

The fire station's landscaping was revamped earlier this month

The recently got a landscaping upgrade courtesy of a local boy scout.

“The station is 30 years old and there were some bushes out front that became a security issue because we couldn’t see out of the fire station,” said Captain Robert Konczal of Station 32 in Fairfax Station on 5600 Burke Centre Parkway.

Local Boy Scout Ethan Ellert volunteered to fix up the fire station’s landscaping for his Eagle Scout project. The eagle rank is the highest rank that a boy scout can achieve.
