This Weekend in Fairfax Station: Bike Summit, Living History, Music of Nevermore

Bike Summit. Fairfax Advocates for Better Bicycling is hosting the Fairfax Bike Summit on transforming Tysons Corner into a sustainable community. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at George Mason University on 10423 Rivanna River Way in Fairfax. 

Living History. The Civil War returns to Chantilly this weekend with Living History Day: Civil War at Walney. The Virginia 42nd Infantry will bring the period to life with stories of the Machen family’s wartime experiences. Free. 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Ellanor C. Night After Night. There’s a little more spook left in 2013, which means an extra helping of cabaret at the Workhouse Arts Center. A Haunted Cabaret: The Music of Nevermore and More continues with performances Thursday and Friday. That will be followed with shows Saturday and Sunday of Broadway Biography — Based on a True Story, with Broadway songs based on actual events. Prices and times vary. Thru Sunday. Workhouse Arts Center, 9601 Ox Road, Lorton.

Craft and Bake Sale. Support the Lorton Senior Center with their annual craft and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on 7722 Gunston Plaza in Lorton. Over 30 local artist and crafters are participating.

Still A-Maize-ing. Halloween is over, but we’ve still got time for fall fun at the Temple Hall Corn Maize and Fall Festival. A 24-acre corn maze, two large moonbounce stands, an all-ages bull riding machine, camel rides, pumpkin launcher and much more. $12 adults, $10 children/seniors. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Temple Hall Farm Regional Park, 15789 Temple Hall Lane, Leesburg.

Java’s Big Day. Luke Brindley and friends — a lot of friends — will be celebrating Jammin Java’s 12th Anniversary Party. Brindley is one of the owners of the Vienna club. $15. 7:30 p.m. Friday. Jammin Java, 227 Maple Avenue E., Vienna. See the complete Jammin’ Java schedule.

Burning Lights. Contemporary Christian worship singer Chris Tomlin performs Friday with guest Louie Giglio. Tomlin is touring in support of his latest album, “Burning Lights.” From $25. 7 p.m., Friday. Patriot Center, 4400 University Drive, Fairfax.
