Will Radle: Let's Focus on Fairfax County

Will Radle, an independent candidate for Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, invites open community conversations with a new, higher level of access and accountability.

Thousands of our neighbors quietly volunteer through public committees and youth development groups.  They work long hours to help our community.  With 20 years experience serving on state, regional and local public committees as well as nonprofit boards, I seek to increase my community participation through political service.

Specifically, I am an independent candidate for Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.  I briefly  shared my vision on community priorities during the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors public hearing on March 29, 2011.

Rather than establishing a website where I talk at people, I prefer working with bloggers and professional journalists to ensure the voice of the people is heard without biased censorship.

Fairfax County and our people deserve an ambitious, passionate advocate who fearlessly works to unite our community in a mission of shared purpose.  Together we will create effective, sustainable solutions for the challenges confronting our community.

In making this inaugural posting, I want to ensure this opportunity serves as a listening venue for our community.  What are the topics you most want to discuss with our neighbors?  Topics in the areas of education, transportation, human services, affordable housing and taxes come to my mind.  As an independent candidate for Chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, I will address the issues you identify in this public forum online and, more importantly, listen to your perspective.  I will also introduce subject issues of my own.

I am eager to visit with our neighbors to discuss important local issues.  If you want me to attend a meeting, please contact me directly at FairfaxAdvocates@gmail.com.  No group is too small or too large.

If given the privilege and responsibility of serving as Chairman, I will continue to provide a high level of access and public accountability.  Thank you for your kind consideration.  Please tell us, what are your thoughts for Fairfax County today?
