There's a scarcity of delis in the Fairfax Station Patch, and consequently Best Deli is certainly among the best in the area. The food isn't necessarily something to write home about, but the staff is courteous, the dining area is generally clean and inviting, and the menu proffers some solid deals. There's a television usually tuned to the news in the dining area, which can comfortably fit about 30 customers.  The deli hosts a diverting cross-section of area eaters, but it's rarely too busy. The Friday spaghetti and meatballs $6 deal offers good value. There are free refills on fountain sodas.
