Opened in June 2008, the Burke Centre Library was designed under the Leadership Energy in Environmental Design program sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council. Staff at the library speak Mandarin Chinese, Arabic and Farsi. Patrons are advised to call the library to see if a foreign language speaker is available before visiting. The library itself contains a quiet study room with nine carrels, a meeting room with a capacity of 100 and a conference room with a capacity of eight, available at no charge for use by non-profit organizations and individuals, for educational, cultural and informational community meetings and programs. The meeting rooms are available Mon - Sat, 8am - 10pm and Sun, 5pm - 6pm. The library also houses an ongoing book sale.
