Fountainhead Regional Park
This park features an eight-mile mountain bike loop, a 17-mile hiking trail, miniature golf, picnic areas, fishing, boating, herds of exceedingly tame deer and similar attractions. Fountainhead Regional Park flanks the banks of the Occoquan Reservoir, and from its hiking trailhead one can hike to Hemlock Overlook Park and continue on to Bull Run Regional Park. The park is host to a variety of events such as kayak tours, bass fishing tournaments, guided hikes with discussions of Civil War and park history and more. See the park's web site for a current schedule or to rent the spacious picnic pavilion for events. There is a shop at the water which sells fishing gear and food and rents boats.
