How can they (republicans or democrats) change the rules AFTER the election? That doesn't makeRead More sense. Something is fishy.

The rules didn't change. The state board said that all counties must follow the same policies. TheRead More only thing that changed is that a provisional voter cannot have a representative instead of his own presence. Provisional voters may submit information. They do not have to be present. The Huffington article is quite misleading.

That a provisional voter cannot have a representative instead of his/her own presence IS A RULERead More CHANGE. Not sure who it benefits or why it was changed, but it is a change (or at least a NEW RULE). My earlier comment holds. Something is fishy. People cannot make stuff up (a new rule) after an election. That's not fair to either party or the general public. One can try to define away the rule change but a new requirement is a new requirement. Call it a "rule change". Call it a "not rule change". Call it an "interpretation of a rule (changed or not)". Call it whatever you want. Something is fishy.

Voter ID requirements are the SAME as the Presidential Election of last year. Generally, the ID mustRead More show EITHER a photo OR the same address as the Voter Registration. The chart at this link is helpful (but a bit complicated): http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/Files/Cast%20Your%20Ballot/VotingInPerson/VoterIdentificationChart.pdf
