Community Discusses Recent Assaults, Proposed Woodson Security Fence

Officials provide information, receive community input after two sexual assaults in the Braddock District.

In response to two recent sexual assaults in the Braddock District, Supervisor John Cook held a community awareness meeting at Robinson Secondary School Monday. Representatives from the Fairfax County Police Department and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) joined more than 100 concerned residents in a review of the incidents and discussion of safety procedures in place and proposed. A 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the woods off Commonwealth Boulevard in Kings Park West on March 14. Less than a week later, on March 19, a 16-year-old W.T. Robinson Trombone Choir Attends Prestigious Workshop

Nine Robinson musicians were invited to participate in the prestigious Eastern Trombone Workshop.

The Robinson High School Trombone Choir recently received a special invitation to participate in the Eastern Trombone Workshop, which was presented at Fort Myer by The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own". This annual event began in 1978 and has been under command of The United States Army Band since 1993. During those years, it has become one of the largest trombone workshops in the world. Directed by Gregory Freeman, the trombone choir is made up of nine young musicians, who live in Fairfax Station, Clifton, Burke and Fairfax. They include Jordan Feltcorn, T.J.
