Several Fairfax Station and Clifton businesses need at least 250 votes from you before they are even considered to be in the running for the grant.
Six Fairfax Station-area businesses are competing for a $250,000 small-business grant offered by Chase Bank USA and LivingSocial and they need at least 250 votes to have a chance at the big money. The grant contest's mission is to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities and to help small businesses grow. Voting ends June 30. The project is called Mission Small Business. Don Lovett's photography studio specializes in one-of-a-kind works of art.
Is Don Lovett a photographer or a wizard? His magic and artistry with a camera indicate unmistakably that he truly is a whiz. Prints of fairy children and young knights in an enchanted forest line the hallway leading to the D Gallery Photography Studio. Inside the studio, which is located in The Clifton House Shoppes on 12644 Chapel Road, an array of Lovett’s art captures the viewer’s attention and imagination. Lovett opened his studio at the urging of Virginia Buersmeyer, who owns the neighboring VA Spa & Salon. She first saw his work when he was at a photo-shoot in the town.
