UPDATE: SUV Driver Had Medical Emergency When He Hit Fairfax Station Woods Community Marker

Details have emerged from Tuesday evening's crash into the Fairfax Station Woods community marker. At around 7:20 p.m., a 48-year-old Fairfax Station man experienced a "medical emergency" and drove off the road, striking a one-way sign, the Clipper Drive road sign and crashed into the stone and cement structure, according to Fairfax County Police. The driver was conscious when emergency personnel arrived, and drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
