NFL Playoffs: Where to Watch, TV Schedule, Lines

The Washington Redskins face the Seattle Seahawks this weekend in one of four NFL wildcard games.

The Washington Redskins have spent since 2007 traveling the road back to the NFL playoffs -- but it's been a heck of a ride. Next stop: Sunday's wildcard game against the Seattle Seahawks. All this hailing to the Redskins should seem familiar. In 2007, the Redskins also made the 2007 NFL playoffs as a wildcard team. And, just like this year, that 2007 playoff game was against the Seattle Seahawks. Let's hope the similarities end there, because the Seahawks won the last time around. That game, though was in Seattle. Sunday, the Redskins are at home for the first time in the NFL playoffs since they beat the Detroit Lions in 1999. Find more Redskins playoff history here. West Potomac Beats South County

The Wolverines' record is now 3-0 after beating the South County Stallions 49-39.

After spending most of the game neck and neck Friday night, the West Potomac Wolverines beat the South County Stallions 49-39 in Lorton. Before the game started, Gerry Pannoni — head coach for South County — said he was concerned about West Potomac's quarterback, Caleb Williams (#17), their running back Demornay Pierson-El (#5) and their kicker Chris Blewitt (#16). "The key is running back Demornay Pierson-El," said Pannoni.  "In their first two games, he made a bunch of big plays," he said. "Pierson-El, the quarterback and the kicker can control the game just by field position." In turn, Wolverines Head Coach Jeremiah Davis had his concerns about South County. "These guys started off 0-3 last year then won 11 straight," said Davis. "So …

Glad to get more details here than the WPost offers. One thing for the writer, and I noticed it last week, too: when a team scores a touchdown they then get a chance to go for what is called an "extra point" or "point after touchdown." Teams can run or kick for the extra point. Most kick. You have been writing that this extra point kick, when successful, is a "field goal." That is incorrect. A …   more ›

The last of the Mount Vernon Nights summer concert series will be held this Saturday, August 25 at 7pm, featuring Alexandria Kleztet, a creative and exciting musical group that combines the sounds of Jewish music and jazz.  Over the weekend, there is also one last chance to check out a great exhibition. The 2nd Annual Clay National Ceramics Exhibition will be open in the McGuireWoods Gallery in W-16 until Sunday, August 26. This …

I would never have anything to do so called Precision Collision. They took one week longer and never called to tell me so. They wouldn't honor their "Lifetime" warranty. One year later they left me with two rusting leaking holes in the cab of my F-150 where they welded a new left side panel of the cab. When i and my wife first the owner Robert P something was all smiles and bullshit. When time …   more ›
