Fairfax County Police found the body of a man Wednesday near Bull Run Regional Park, in a quarry near a truck that was abandoned by Clifton man Brian Woodworth, who went missing, according to a report by CBSLocal. No word on whether the body is Woodworth. "We can't confirm whether it's that man," said Officer Shelley Broderick, a spokeswoman for the Fairfax County Police Department. Police are not treating the incident as a homicide, she said. "Nothing leads us to suspect foul play," she noted. Woodworth, a 27-year-old Centreville High School graduate, went missing on Feb. 2, according to his friends. He left his home while driving a 2003 white Toyota Highlander. Police say they believe there is no threat to the public after volunteers found the body of missing Woodson student Bryan Glenn in the woods near Thaiss Park on Columbus Day. Fairfax City Police recently stepped up patrols around Pickett Road, Silver King Court and Thaiss Park, but not as a response to a predator or perceived threat. "The entire City of Fairfax is a low crime area. We have not had a murder in three years," said Sgt. Joe Johnson of the City of Fairfax Police Department. "The park is safe. It was a request we received from the community and we have stepped up patrols until this case is closed." Family and friends will gather at Thaiss Park Monday morning to search the wooded area near the parking lot where missing student Bryan Glenn's vehicle was found. The search event will start at 10:30 a.m. at Thaiss Park at 3417 Pickett Road. Volunteers should wear waterproof boots, long pants, clothing with vibrant colors and bug spray, according to the Facebook event page. Click here to RSVP. Vigil held at Woodson high school after homecoming victory.
Woodson students, their parents, friends and football players gathered at the high school stadium after Saturday's homecoming win to pray for Bryan Glenn's safe return. Family and friends pleaded with the crowd to come forward if they knew anything about Bryan's whereabouts or what happened to him the Monday morning he disappeared. "Most likely someone in your age group knows where he is," said Julia Ross, a SAT prep/college coach who worked with Bryan and his brother up to three times a week for a past few months. Community seeks help in finding 17-year-old Bryan Glenn.
Police are looking for a Woodson High School senior who was has not been seen since Monday. Bryan Glenn, 17, was last seen at the WHS junior parking lot Monday morning, then again at the Dunkin Donuts on Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax City about an hour later. A missing persons report has been filed with the Fairfax County Police Department, according to Fairfax County Public Schools. On Tuesday morning, Glenn's vehicle was found in the Thaiss Park parking lot on Pickett Road, said Warren Carmichael of the City of Fairfax Police Department.
