Hungry for some comfort food during this chilly weekend? Dig in: Sunday is National Pie Day, created by the American Pie Council. Did you know we have a pie celebrity right here in Northern Virginia? Last year, Mindy Johnson of Burke came in first place in the "Junior Chef" category for a cream pie she baked at the 2010 APC Crisco National Pie Championship. (The recipe wasn't available on the Web site, but Mindy if you're reading this, feel free to post it in the "comments" following the story!). Now, for some recipes we did manage to find.
