Robinson Workshop: Creating 'Bounce Back' Kids

Register for workshop set for next Tuesday, Jan. 29.

A workshop is scheduled next week at Robinson Secondary School to help parents raise "a resilient child." Wondering what that term means? According to a notice about the workshop on the Fairfax County Public Schools Web site: "Resiliency is the ability to overcome, and transcend adversity—including   trauma, crises, and/or all types of stress…or, in the words of one high school student, resiliency is 'bouncing back from problems and stuff with more power and more smarts.'" Robinson Secondary School will host the workshop: "Resiliency In Action: How Families, Schools and Communities Create 'Bounce Back' Kids," presented Tuesday, Jan. 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the school.
