Robinson Workshop: Creating 'Bounce Back' Kids

A workshop is scheduled next week at Robinson Secondary School to help parents raise "a resilient child." Wondering what that term means? According to a notice about the workshop on the Fairfax County Public Schools Web site: "Resiliency is the ability to overcome, and transcend adversity—including trauma, crises, and/or all types of stress…or, in the words of one high school student, resiliency is 'bouncing back from problems and stuff with more power and more smarts.'"
